Essential Oil For Clarity

The Best Essential Oil for Clarity and Mental Focus

Did you know that essential oils can help with clarity and mental focus?  All of us suffer from mental fogginess from time to time. Sometimes all we need is more sleep, or to upgrade our diet or exercise more. But what if that isn’t enough? There are other options, including essential oils. The best essential oil for clarity, particularly mental clarity, is a fantastic blend from Young Living called, appropriately, Clarity Blend.  This blend combines a number of oils useful for mental alertness and concentration, and is extremely useful for those times when you need a mental boost: before an exam, a job interview or while writing a paper. It is, of course, very useful for students of all ages.  It can be diffused with a diffuser, or can be used by dropping 2-3 drops on the soles of the feet or wrists.

Clarity-Essential-Oil-Blend-Young-LivingClarity Essential Oil blend includes the following essential oils:

Lemon: an enlivening and refreshing oil that stimulates mental acuity. And did you know–it takes approximately 75 lemons to produce one 15 ml bottle of oil.Eat Clean $30.00 Off

Rosemary: excellent for mental clarity and alertness. I use it with my oldest son when he is studying for a tough exam; it helps improve his focus and energy throughout a long study session.

Peppermint: refreshing, opening and focusing oil.

Basil: best known for its ability to refresh the mind and restore mental alertness. Smells wonderful, too.

Roman Chamomile: traditionally has been used for mental clarity and courage and like Chamomile tea, is very calming and soothing.  This oil can help with purposelessness and help bring meaning and clarity into one’s life.

Also includes Coriander, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Jasmine, Palmaraso and Cardamom.

Clarity Essential Oil is useful for students, office workers, and anyone struggling to maintain focus throughout the day. It can also be used during meditation or prayer to help remove mental and emotional obstacles and allow for ‘breakthroughs’ and insights.

How I Use Clarity Essential Oil

I use this oil myself for a few things. First off, I use if when I am confused or muddled over a difficult decision. You know those moments when you just can’t make a decision, and you waver back and forth over what choice to make? Well, that’s me every day. I am a Libra, and I often find myself weighing options, debating the pros and cons, for far longer than I should. Diffusing this oil can bring clarity and peace to my decision-making. Secondly, I use it for my children when they are working on homework after school, a time when their mental energy is low and they can’t seem to get through the assignment. Thirdly, I use it when doing the dreaded paperwork for my business–it keeps me alert, focused and vigilant and allows me to get through the paper piles more quickly and with less dilly-dallying.

This blend can be purchased retail through Young Living’s website:  Clarity Essential Oil Blend. You can purchase it as a retail customer for $53.29 for a large, 15 ml bottle. Really interesting article! I have heard about the benefits of essential oils but I have never learned about what individual oils actually do.

The products you have listed look really great! More clarity, especially when it comes to decision making, is something that I definitely need.

    Thanks for the post,

Thanks for stopping by Brianna! Essential oils are essential (haha!) to a healthy lifestyle, imo. Just be sure to buy good quality oils. I find Young Living to be the best out there.

Hi Hillary! I think your website is very similar to what mine is but more on the essential oils. I am very interested in learning more about the oils and hope to use more soon. I Use and sell Norwex, cleaning and body products to reduce chemicals in your home. I love the idea of living a more natural life and taking care of our bodies in different ways. I think your website looks great! Are you going to add more suggestions on safer household cleaners and body products? Or include healthy recipes?

    Hi Hillary!

I never knew how necessary essential oils were for healthy living. There are so many different benefits that essential oils provide. I’m so easily thrown off focus that this kind of product would be a life saver.

I understand the importance of having a healthy mind and focus. There is nothing more important these days than having a sound mind. I will be sure to use these product diligently!

      (August 5, 2016 - 9:42 pm)

Thank you Jamie! Yes, essential oils are, in my opinion, as important as good food, fresh air and exercise to a healthy lifestyle. I wouldnt be healthy without them!

This is really interesting. I’ve heard of the benefits of essential oils but I’ve never thought of trying, until now…

Thanks for the advice. Something for clarity and mental focus – I could definitely do with some! I have ADD/ADHD attention span issues, so hopefully this essential oil blend may help me.

The ingredients you listed – Lemon, Rosemary, Peppermint, Basil, Roman Chamomile, Coriander, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Jasmine, Palmaraso and Cardamom all sound really good and refreshing. Akin to the feeling when one goes for a spa?

One thing though, I live in Asia. Am I able to buy from Young Living?

      (August 6, 2016 - 2:22 pm)

Yes, in fact Young Living is HUGE in Asia. Where are you in Asia? There are different sites for different markets.

interesting article on best essential oil for clarity, I also am a big fan of using these oils for my own health. My favorite is Lavender, it just brings me much calmness and relaxes me the most of any scent I have tried so far.

Do you think Lavender helps clarity, unless I missed it I did not see it in your article for clarity oils?

      (August 7, 2016 - 10:41 pm)

Lavender is better for calming and sleep than for mental clarity. Thank you for visiting!

    Hello Hillary(The Eco Friendly girl)

This is a very educational website. I enjoyed how you talked about the different foods and oils that can help you with memory, focus, improved health and dietary choices. I was really impressed of your knowledge about essential oils. Hillary I need to ask you a question about burning incense. Do you recommend that?

You touched on other topics that we need to be aware like the seafood industry. After reading your post I had new found perspective on shrimping industry. I was shocked to hear how many kilograms, 80 kilograms, per day they expected to harvest at a rate of $4.00 per day and 16 hours per day.Sounds unbelievable but sad to say I know it’s true. What is really bad about that entire scenario is that not only is it bad for the workers financially it is even worse for them physically. I am glad you mentioned an alternative, Vital Choice, as a healthy choice to what is currently available to the masses.

I also enjoyed your information about Alzheimer’s and how medical marijuana can diminish the effects of Alzheimers. I thought about my Mom as I was reading your blog. She is 87 years young and suffering from early stages of Alzheimer. I was wondering what would be best for someone like that?

    Thanks so much Hillary

      (August 8, 2016 - 3:46 pm)

Hi! I think essential oils are better and more healthful than burning incense–the quality of the oil is more consistent and therefore more helpful. If you live in a state with good medical marijuana laws, your mother may benefit from ingesting marijuana. Try and find a local sympathetic doctor to help you out.

Great review on the Clarity Essential Oil blend. I have never heard of this oil before, I’ve done a little research on essential oils from time to time. However, there are so many different essential oils that are currently on the market today that it can be overwhelming for the average person to know which oil works best for what ailment. In this article, you stated that this oil is useful for mental alertness and concentration do you think it will help a nervous athlete before an athletic event?

      (August 18, 2016 - 3:43 pm)

No for that you would probably want a combination of Energee and Grounding. Thanks for visiting!

    (August 18, 2016 - 6:41 pm)

I have some oils but never really figured out for what to use them or what individual oils actually do. I used to put them in a bowl and put them on the heater so in wintertime the smell went all over the house and I enjoyed that very much. This is great input. I will start using some oils when I come home stressed out in different ways now. Thank you for putting this out there.

      (August 18, 2016 - 10:37 pm)

Hi Athena! Thanks for visiting! Please keep in mind that heat can destroy some of the beneficial activity of essential oils, so it is not recommended to heat the oils. I would buy a good diffuser instead–and use some Young Living Lavender or Stress Away 🙂

What an awesome post, Hillary! I too am an “ecofriendly girl” and I have been meaning to try essential oils for forever. I have some peppermint oil that I just recently made some toothpaste with (coconut oil and baking soda + the peppermint oil). I want to try different oils, but, honestly, I just felt a little overwhelmed at all of the options. I have two young kids under 3, and I could definitely use the mental clarity lol! I think I’ll finally try this oil out because its’ effects are what I could use most 🙂 Thanks for posting!

Thanks for the info on essential oils!

I have been very interested recently in purchasing essential oils to try and help me with clarity, stress and anxiety.

I want to keep researching before purchasing anything as I want to know that they do work for most people and want to decide which one is best for me.
